Ex-Female Councillors Visit New Oyo APC Chairman

After their visit to the former Oyo State first lady, Florence Ajimobi, the former female councillors in Oyo State in 2018, have paid a courtesy visit to the new chairman of the Oyo State All Progressive Congress (APC), Alhaji Abass Olayide. 


The ex-female councillors under the aegis of the Ex-Female Councillors Forum of Late Gov. Ajimobi of 2018, paid the new chairman of the party a solidarity visit to show their support to him. 


The representatives from all zones were led by Hon. Odunola to the chairman and his executives who were appointed in 2024. The women politicians were warmly welcomed by the chairman and his executives.

One of the ex-women councillors who spoke to newsmen after their meeting said that they went to meet him to show their support and solidarity to him in a bid to foster development and unity in the Oyo State All Progressive Congress (APC). 


“We went to Alh. Abass Olayide to show our support and pledge  solidarity to him and the APC family in Oyo state as a whole. Baba and his executives welcomed us warmly and expressed their good thoughts to us for taking the bull by the horn.” 


She, however, assured that the women leaders in Oyo State would not relent in ensuring that the APC succeed and every quota has their rewards for showing their support to the party in the state. 


“We are not backing out anytime till we get there. Sit back and enjoy more from G-68 as we move mountains in Oyo State.”


The ex-female councillors began their effort to see the party in the state flourish in a visit to Mrs Florence Ajimobi, the wife of the former Governor Abiola Ajimobi, who was at the helm between 2011 and 2019.
