Hon. Oke-Aare Aina has felicitated with all Muslims in Oluyole Local Government and Nigeria at large as they joined all Ummah across the world on the occasion of this year's Eid al-Kabir, also known as Eid al-Adha.
In her Eid al-Kabir message, the chieftain of the All Progressive Congress in Oluyole Local Government and one of the national women leaders of the party extended her warm greetings to Muslims in the country. She wished them a celebration full of joy, peace, and progress.
Hon. Aina described the Ileya festival, as it is popularly called, as a period of deep spiritual moment for all faithfuls. She expressed the significance of Eid al-Adha, stating the work of faith, power of unity, progress, peaceful coexistence, obedience to God’s will, and sacrificial living for the betterment of the country.
“Today is significant because it always calls for deep spiritual reflections. Eid al-Adha is a day we remind ourselves of absolute faith in Allah, the power in unity, progress, living in harmony with others, absolute obedience to the will of God, and sacrifice for the betterment of the country,” she stated.
The political stalwart stated that Eid al-Kabir is not only a celebration but also a reminder of the virtues of humanity. She called on Nigerian Muslims to utilise the period to show unity and compassion to everyone in order to make the country progress.
“In these challenging times, I urge all Muslims to use this occasion to give others in generosity, compassion and solidarity to the people in need,” she advised Muslims, emphasising on the necessity of showing kindness.
However, Hon. Oke-Aare Aina showered her wishes for the faithfuls, praying that she wished them a joyful celebration filled with love, peace, and renewed hope.
