Hon. Oke-Aare Aina, who is one of the national women leaders, joined a host of others to celebrate the former Oyo State chairman of the Association of Local Government in Nigeria (ALGON). She showered encomiums on Hon. Alashinloye, calling him a political stalwart and leader with vision, focus, passion, and love for humanity.
In a press release titled, Double Double: ‘The Felicitation of Hon. Abass Aleshinloye’s Birthday and Celebration of His Federal Appointment,' JEGA made profound wishes for the ex-ALGON chairman as he celebrates his birthday today, congratulated him on his recent appointment, and echoed her admiration for him.
Part of the statement reads, “Today marks another day to celebrate God's priceless gift for humanity, most especially for the people of Oluyole Local Government. I celebrate the birthday of my leader, Hon. Abass Aleshinloye. On the occasion of your birthday, I express my profound joy in celebrating you. You are a beacon of hope to a lot of us. May this new year usher you into greater heights, wins, success, breakthroughs, and victories.”
Talking about his recent achievement, Hon. Oke-Aare Aina called the appointment of Hon. Abass Aleshinloye a ‘round peg in a round hole’, saying he deserved the position due to the luminary experience he has garnered in public offices.
“The wealth of experience of Hon. Abass Aleshinloye speaks for him. His appointment as a member of the Federal Character Commission is a round peg in a round hole. I believe his appointment will bring more efficiency to the selection of people in accordance with the established quota system and put Oyo State at the forefront of any federal selection process,” she said.
In the latter part of the statement, the APC chieftain echoed her admiration for the ex-ALGON chairman. She called him a leader with vision, focus, passion, and love for humanity. She lauded his effort in ensuring good governance in the local government and Oyo State at large.
Hon. Abass Aleshinloye served as former chairman of the Oyo State Youth Council under ex-Governor Lam Adesina, former Oluyole Local Government Chairman, former ALGON chairman, and the former Deputy Chairman of National Association of Local Government of Nigeria, among others.
